A Sports Club (£300K Turnover)
A leading national Sports Club had been losing members to David Lloyd, Virgin and other national chain franchise health clubs and gyms over a prolonged period.
At the same time, the club needed to make painful cuts to its payroll and cost base, whilst finding ways of generating new members in significant numbers.
BGS consultants have worked with the Club over a number of years. The initial involvement was to bring in a part-time FD to correctly interpret the financial accounts, build a difficult consensus to cut payroll and to reduce the cost base.
The club was re-established on a much firmer footing and survives as a popular base for sports and social activity to this day.
